RM has advised that emergency changes are required within its broadband network infrastructure, involving a FortiGate firmware update. This work will take place from 6pm today and will affect all HFL\RM Broadband customers.
Both primary and backup connectivity will be affected during the maintenance. RM has advised approximately 2 hours of downtime, although this may be longer if any issues are encountered.
RM has not confirmed whether this work is related to the current PHP security vulnerability, as it is awaiting further information from Fortinet, which we understand is expected to be published on 10th November.
No action is required by schools. HFL will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates where required.
