NTP stands for Network Time Protocol, and it is an Internet protocol used to synchronize the clocks of computers/devices. Previously we used to permit firewall rules between schools and NTP servers out on the internet. However, you no longer need these rules in place and you can use the HFL Broadband internally hosted NTP server instead, using this DNS entry: ntp.thegrid.org.uk
